Leading you through the tight turns, dips and smoky cafes of Argentina, the bullfights of Spain, and the jungles of South America, concert harpist Anna Maria Mendieta’s “Tango Del Cielo” (Tango of Heaven) is an exciting multimedia concert-show performing the passionate and sensuous music of the Argentine Tango and the dramatic and fiery Flamenco of Spain. Bringing together: harp, strings, percussion and dance — we invite you to experience this captivating music in a way never before presented!

With standing ovations nationwide, “Tango Del Cielo”, a unique theatrical music and dance program features a fusion of many Latin styles including Argentine Tango, Flamenco, Spanish Classical, and Latin Jazz. Tango Del Cielo concerts are especially entertaining with a tribute to the Silent Films, to when tango was first popularized in the United States and the rest of the world. Incorporating multimedia use of film art, staging, lighting, and effects, the programs are full of surprises and appropriate for audiences of all ages.

Special musical contributions were arranged and composed by Multi-Grammy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Jorge Calandrelli, Multi-Grammy Award winner Pablo Ziegler, and Grammy nominees Daniel Binelli and Jeremy Cohen, violinist/composer of Quartet San Francisco, winners of the 2004 International Tango Competition.

The program is designed to be flexible in the number of performers to accommodate the size of the venue. The core group is of 6-10 performers and can accommodate more musicians and dancers of requested. Tango Del Cielo can be a presented as a stand alone ensemble or as a guest element with orchestras with all music, multimedia, and tech provided.

Tango Del Cielo was the featured show for the 2019 World Tango Festival in Victoria, B.C.
