Concerts
Anna Maria Mendieta performs all styles of music and is available to perform as a soloist, with orchestras, and her ensembles. Concerts can range from an intimate solo recital to large scale productions with multimedia, film art, lighting and effects to meet the demands of the venue. Musicians are of the highest caliber and often principal players and concertmasters with orchestras. Combinations can include a chamber ensemble of Strings, Woodwinds, and Percussion to a full symphonic orchestra. Duos or Trios of Harp with either Flute, Violin, or Cello can be appealing for more intimate settings. A Harp, Flute, and Viola trio specializing in the French music of Debussy and Ravel exudes elegance and sophistication. Anna Maria also performs with vocalists of all styles from Folk to Opera. The Del Cielo Trio offers a delightful program with the Mendieta Sisters combining their talents of Harp, Soprano Voice, and Flamenco. Spanish & Argentine Tango music concerts incorporate a dazzling collaboration of award winning Tango and Flamenco dancers.
Sacred Music concerts for churches and retreats are especially uplifting with the angelic sounds of the Harp. Christmas programs add an extra sparkle as Anna Maria plays Harp & Light Percussion with bells, chimes, candles and poetry and are a popular favorite with audiences of all ages.
Outreach concerts offer creative opportunities to connect with the community with nurturing musical moments in Hospitals, Classroom Concerts, School Assemblies, Workshops and Masterclasses presenting engaging and educational programs for the very young to the young at heart. Anna Maria has been selected by the San Francisco Symphony year after year to create and perform for their “Adventures in Music” program for thousands of children in the public schools.
